More than 50 restaurants are serving delicious dishes.

Megabangna invites everyone to celebrate the Thai New Year in a new normal fashion during "Mega Songkran" fair, which is running daily from 11am to 7pm until Sunday.

This is a rare chance to pay respect to a replica of the much-revered Buddha image representing the world's first Buddha, on loan from Wiharn Buddhanusorn, a meditation centre in Ban Pong district in Ratchaburi province.

Visitors can also worship Buddha images representing their birthdays and make a contribution to the Buddhanusorn Foundation under the patronage of the Department of Religious Affairs. Proceeds will go to support the construction of meditation facilities. A limited number of Buddha coins are being given away until Thursday.

Running at the Banking zone is "Megabangna Maha Songkran", which brings Thai dishes from more than 50 renowned restaurants and food shops from across the country. They include Kanom Krok Sethi offering nine different toppings, Go Yee Kanom Tom, Jirapan Grilled Chicken and Whale Thai dessert. These restaurants are participating in the government's co-payment scheme Mor 33.

Meanwhile, many ice cream shops and cafes are offering a special promotion under "Summer Refreshing Season" and allowing customers to redeem special refreshing beverages by using "Mega Smile Rewards" under specific conditions. The campaign is running until April 30.
