Anything with 'AI', biometrics and security in the same sentence? Nope. Walk 500 miles from that, then 500 more.

If I get an automated call I just put the phone down, as they are commonly used by scammers.

Chatbots? Hideous technology. You can spot them because they talk over you and answer a different question to the one you asked. Nothing says that you don't give a *&^% about your customers more than using chatbots.

And MS. just blew $16bn on all this?

We are getting close to some major changes in tech and software. And none of them are featured above. There are far better things to be spending cash on in tech at the moment.

Nuance is big in the healthcare industry. It's more than just speech recognition. They also do documents, OCR, PDFs, etc. Basically all those medical archives converted into digital on Azure. Like LinkedIn and GitHub, MS will gain knowledge from all that data. This deal is all about Enterprise, not consumers

I've been researching the topic since experiencing my doctor using it. I I like to sit in my garden and write. But a wireless tool that could type my dictation would be very handy considering my system's wi-fi capability. Almost like forty years ago and having my secretary come into my office with her steno pad and very good shorthand skills.
