PATNA: An inquiry has been ordered on Tuesday after an alleged photograph of BJP MLA Ashok Kumar Singh representing Paru assembly seat taking a jab at his residence in Muzaffarpur surfaced in public domain.
In the picture, the MLA could be seen sitting on a sofa while getting vaccinated by a woman donning an apron. TOI doesn’t verify the authenticity of the photograph.
The MLA’s act comes completely against the gesture of PM Narendra Modi who, shunning all the VIP facilities available to him, had himself gone upto the AIIMS vaccination centre in New Delhi and got injected with Covishield.

Incidentally mere four day back, it was reported that even the Bombay high court has cited the example of PM Modi’s act that when he can go upto the vaccination centre then why can’t others.
The high court was irked after coming to know that some important politicians in Maharashtra were getting vaccinated at home even when no such policy was present that vaccination for Covid-19 would be given at doorsteps.
When asked, Muzaffarpur civil surgeon Dr Surendra Kumar Choudhary told TOI over phone on Tuesday that it has been established that the MLA was vaccinated at his residence.
“A show-cause notice has been served to the auxiliary nurse maid on Tuesday who is visible vaccinating the MLA in the viral photograph,” he said.

Choudhary said that he has also ordered an inquiry by forming a three-member committee of doctors on Tuesday. He said that necessary action would be taken against the erring persons after inquiry.
“The ANM visible in the photograph is from Saraiyya primary health centre (PHC) in Muzaffarpur. From this centre, health staff had gone to the MLA’s residence,” he said adding the PHC falls in the assembly seat represented by the MLA.
The surgeon said that he had verbally asked the medical office in-charge (MOIC) of Paru as well Saraiyya PHC but they feigned ignorance of who had gone to the MLA’s residence or if he had reached at centre for vaccination.
Meanwhile when contacted, the MLA while talking to this newspaper over the phone said that all allegations against him of getting vaccinated at home are completely false.
“I have gone to a sub-health centre at Gopalpur village to get vaccinated on Sunday. This centre is just beside my residence,” he said.
“The allegations are baseless and being cooked up against me. This picture is morphed,” he added.
