Dramatic footage has captured the scale of a huge factory fire in Coventry that could be seen for miles across the city.

Daniel Gut captured the shocking footage on his drone as fire crews could be seen tackling the blaze.

Emergency services are at the scene of the inferno as West Midlands Fire Service asked people to keep their windows and doors closed.

The force said: "Fire crews are dealing with a large factory fire on Waterman Road, Great Heath in Coventry. Please keep windows and doors closed."

The incident, which is on Waterman Road, is believed to have broken out around 7.30pm. It's unclear whether there was anyone in the building at the time.

People on social media have said the smoke could be seen for more than 50 miles away.

One Twitter user said: "I can see this from the Cotswolds. A large plume of dark smoke, several miles long, is drifting westward."
