Television and film actor Amit Mistry passed away due to cardiac arrest on Friday (April 23) morning. The actor's manager confirmed the news with BT. Many celebs and friends from the entertainment industry, who shared screen space with Amit, are taken aback after learning this news, and took to their social media accounts to express grief.
Dilip Joshi from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, who is unable to fathom this news, said, "Absolutely shocking and unbelievable ..
Amit Mistry departed to Heavenly abode............still can’t believe it.....(sic)"

The Kapil Sharma Show's Kiku Sharda stated that Amit was his senior in college, they played and partied together. He wrote, "Was a senior of mine in college, a friend, a colleague. Did lots of plays together, partied together. Will miss him. Wonderful actor and a soulful singer. Gone too soon brother. May your soul rest in peace."

Karan V Grover also expressed shock about Amit's sudden demise. He tweeted, "Shocking and deeply saddening news #Amitmistry Peace be upon u brother (sic)"

Arjun Bijlani also expressed grief by sharing a broken heart emoji and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.

Annup Sonii retweeted a post and commented, "Seriously ya...It's too shocking..."

Gautam Rode shared a picture of Amit and wrote, "RIP Amit Mistry. My heartfelt condolences to family and friends. 🙏🏻"


Delnaaz Irani is also taken aback and posted, "Gone away too soon, such a shocking news! Rest in peace Amit!"

Ashwin Mushran, who has worked with Amit Mistry, shared how brilliant Amit was as an actor and a human being. Ashwin shared, "I've worked with #AmitMistry a couple of times and had the pleasure of seeing how brilliant he was on stage. He will be missed on stage and screen by all of us. Condolences to his family."

Tisca Chopra also took to her Twitter account and wrote, "Shit. Such a lovely guy, totally chill.. deepest condolences to the family .. RIP #AmitMistry (sic)"

Talking about Amit Mistry, he was seen in television shows such as Tenali Rama, Maddam Sir and films like Yamla Pagla Deewane, Shor: In The City and did extensive theatre work, too.
