VIZIANAGARAM: Two covid patients died due to technical issues in oxygen supply at the Maharajah government hospital in Andhra Pradesh's Vizianagaram early on Monday.
Sources said the toll might go up as the high-pressure supply of oxygen was suddenly disrupted.
The authorities are planning to shift the patients to other hospitals.
Unconfirmed sources said the death toll was five.

The deceased belong to the city and surrounding areas.
Amid the spike in Covid cases, the district administration has arranged more than 100 beds in isolation with facilities of oxygen and ventilators in the government hospital a few days ago.
At present, around 97 patients are in the isolation ward, including 15 patients, who are on high flow oxygen support.
“There are 15 patients on high flow or pressure oxygen, which will fluctuate. They need high flow oxygen support. Only two patients died as their health condition deteriorated. We are finding out what went wrong in the supply,” the Vizianagaram district medical and health officer (DMHO) SV Ramana Kumari told TOI.
She further said the hospital has sufficient oxygen and was now shifting all the patients to other hospitals.
While the family members and relatives of the patients are in a hurry to buy oxygen cylinders as they believe that the oxygen shortage is the main cause of the mishap.
