Kanpur: 25-year-old beaten to death after altercation

KANPUR: A 25-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by a group of people in the Naubasta area of the city late Thursday night. The victim has been identified as Ram Prakash, a private car driver from KDA Colony, in Naubasta. According to police, his family members informed that Ram Prakash was being beaten up by some persons.
"Ram Prakash along with his friend Suttal had an altercation with Rajepur village resident Aman Verma and his aides.Later, Verma and his aides allegedly assaulted the two. Suttal managed to escape while Ram Prakash, who was knocked out his senses, fell on the ground. The assailants took him to Lala Lajpat Rai hospital on the pretext of an accident. Doctors declared him dead on examination. They later fled abandoning the dead body at the hospital," police said.
