Will stop operations if O2 supply not restored: Dadri hospitals
Greater Noida: Days after officials from non-Covid hospitals and clinics in Dadri spoke about not getting oxygen for their patients, owners of these facilities on Tuesday said that they will stop functioning from Wednesday if the supply is not restored.
The owners and administrators of about 30 hospitals and clinics met Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar on Tuesday and sought his intervention to restore the supply.

After the meeting, they said the administration had allowed 50 cylinders per month for each facility.
According to the owners and administrators, they used to get their supply from local oxygen dealers. But now, they themselves are not getting the supply from plants like Inox in Surajpur and Bharat Ratna in Dadri’s Bishada.
Ajeet Singh, the administrator of Dadri’s Navin hospital, said their dealers had been getting the supply from Inox and later, from Bharat Ratna plants. “But now, our dealers are not getting the supply and as a result, we are not getting oxygen,” he said.
Sanjay Goyal, the director, Mohan Swaroop Hospital, Dadri, said they are finding it difficult to treat their non-Covid patients, in the absence of oxygen supply.
Earlier, TOI had reported about the oxygen shortage in the non-Covid facilities of Dadri.

The owners of the facilities said that while in January, February and March this year, they were getting 350-400 oxygen cylinders per month, depending on requirement, they are not getting any cylinder for several days now.
“On an average, at least 100 oxygen cylinders should be given to each facility,” Singh said.
Asked about the shortage, Gautam Budh Nagar district magistrate Suhas LY said: “These facilities were not getting cylinders from local oxygen plants but from oxygen plants in Ghaziabad. We have asked the officials to restore the supply and give additional amount to them if needed.”
