Six road repair projects in Essex County will be expanded after the county received double its anticipated share of federal gas tax revenue.

The county had budgeted for $2.3 million this year from the annual allocation for municipal infrastructure projects. But it will now receive an extra $2.2 million.

The government announced recently, as part of Bill C-25, that it would increase its fund by $2.2 billion, bringing the total to $4.5 billion.

-County Road 18 from County Road 23 to Coulter Road.

-County Road 20 from Sherk Street to County Road 31.

-County Road 22 from Maplewood Drive to Right Away Lane.

-County Road 34 from Upcott Side Road to County Road 29.
