YOKOSUKA — Information Systems Technician (Submarines) 1st Class James Maynard, a native of Auburn, Illinois, receives the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal at the end of a successful tour in the Commander, Submarine Group 7 communications department from April 2018 to May 2021.
As the command’s information security manager, he expertly managed two information security programs, strengthening the cyber readiness of ten networks.
Petty Officer Maynard’s exceptional professionalism, unrelenting perseverance, and loyal devotion to duty reflected credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Navy.
