With 53.24% of the vote, Archbishop Mitty lacrosse standout Ella Carlino has been named the Bay Area News Group’s girls athlete of the week.
Los Altos basketball standout Jamie Baum finished second.
Carlino, a sophomore, had 14 saves in an 11-9 victory over Menlo School, believed to be Mitty’s first win over Menlo in lacrosse. She also had numerous saves in a 12-8 victory over Menlo-Atherton.
Congratulations to Carlino, Baum and the other candidates this week.
Candidates for next week’s voting will be released Monday, May 10.
