Route A in Wayne County Closed for Bridge Replacement

SIKESTON - Route A in Wayne County will be closed as contractor crews replace the bridge over Small Creek.

This section of roadway is located between U.S. Route 67 and County Road 400, south of Greenville, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will begin Friday, May 21, with completion anticipated Monday, Aug. 2. A signed detour will be in place.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
