Area Boys Tennis: Aitkin prevails 4-3

AITKIN — Seth Watts-Jamison St. Claire didn’t drop a game in their No. 2 doubles victory to help the Aitkin Gobblers to a 4-3 victory over St. John’s Prep/St. Cloud Cathedral Monday, May 10, in a Granite Ridge Conference dual.

Aitkin swept the doubles portion with Joey Haasken-Wyatt Crowther only dropping one game at No. 3 doubles and the team of Josh Hagestuen-Ben Harris winning 6-3, 6-0.

Owen Hagen rebounded from a first-set loss to capture the fourth and deciding point with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles.
