Longmont police took a report of a juvenile student who had a marijuana vape pen and was using it at Sunset Middle School. The girl said she has been using it all year. The school and the girl’s mother asked that she attend the ReWiND program. She was issued a summons.

Longmont police observed a woman at about 10 a.m. Sunday with outstanding warrants in the area of 17th Avenue and Centennial Drive. The woman was taken into custody and  taken to jail.

Longmont police at about 4:40 p.m. Sunday conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Lashley Street. A woman was arrested on outstanding warrants.

Longmont police responded to the 2800 block of 15th Avenue Sunday on a report of a crash. A red hatchback crashed into a parked white truck. A man was arrested for DUI and other related charges.

Longmont police at about 11:30 a.m. Monday, conducted a traffic stop near East 21st Avenue and Alpine Street. A juvenile boy was cited for an alcohol violation.

Longmont police attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle Friday near the area of South Bowen and Kansas Avenue. The motorcycle fled at a high speed and refused to stop for officers. The motorcycle or suspect were not located. A report was completed.

On Friday, Longmont police responded to a reported shooting at the intersection of 9th Avenue and Francis Street. A lone witness reported seeing
the passenger of a small sedan shoot a handgun at the vehicle in front of him. Neither vehicle was located and officers did not find any evidence
a shooting occurred.

Longmont police investigated an auto theft Monday in the 1200 block of Fordham Street. The vehicle was located by Boulder police and was
returned to its owner. No suspects were identified and the case will be closed pending further information.

At about noon Monday, Longmont police were dispatched for a report of a shoplift in the 2200 block of East Ken Pratt. A man was taken into custody for theft. During a search of the man, drugs were located which resulted in additional charges.
