Salah releases public Boris Johnson plea

Mohamed Salah has sent a message to world leaders - including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson - calling on them to do everything in their power to stop the violence and killing of innocent people immediately.

The Liverpool forward has taken to social media amid the continued unrest between Palestine and Israel.

Earlier today, two Israeli women were killed by Palestinian rocket strikes after 26 Palestinians were killed in Gaza.

The airstrikes were a retaliation for a barrage of rockets fired into Israel from Gaza since 6pm on Monday including six rockets which landed near Jerusalem.

And Salah has called on world leaders like current PM Johnson to do everything in their power to bring an end to the violence.

Manchester United help deal Liverpool Champions League blow

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wasn't joking when, speaking last week, he suggested "someone might not be happy" with his team selections this week after Manchester United were compelled to play three Premier League games inside five days.

The reason, of course, was because protests from United fans had successfully caused the postponement of last Sunday's visit of Jurgen Klopp's side, prompting a fixture pile-up that concludes with Thursday's rearranged clash.

And while under-strength United's 2-1 defeat to Leicester City on Tuesday ended any hope they had of winning the title, there was considerable solace in how it damaged their bitter North West rivals.
