Cherokee sports are benefiting whole area, school superintendent notes

 


School's winding up – Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Cherokee's baccalaureate ceremony; Thursday at 7 p.m. is the junior high graduation; Friday at 7 p.m. is the high school graduation.

“It's been a very busy last couple weeks,” Superintendent Bryce Schanbacher told the school board Monday evening.

Cherokee hosted both the regional and state track meets, and the events have benefited the whole area, he said.

All the paperwork from the state track meet has not yet arrived, so a more accurate report will be available in the future, but anecdotally it was a huge success for the school, the town, and the...
