CLOVERDALE — The Kelseyville Knights squared their Coastal Mountain Conference record at 3-3 with a 3-2 road win Tuesday afternoon against the Cloverdale Eagles.
While the Knights won only one of the three singles matches — Johnny Rixen beat Arizbeth Gomez 6-0, 6-4 in No. 1 singles — Kelseyville’s doubles teams were up to the task, winning both of their matches. In No. 1 doubles, Hanna Scully and Rylan Lipscomb beat Citali Lopez and Seth Daimel 6-0, 6-3, and Samantha Carter and Maddy Madrzyk defeated Grace Kelsey and Gracie McNulty 6-2, 6-4 in No. 2 doubles.
In other action, Kelseyville’s Larue Furlani dropped a 6-3, 6-1 decision to Alexis Leyva in No. 2 singles, and Cloverdale’s Grace Messenger beat Ryann Taylor 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 in No. 3 singles. Messenger and Taylor played a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a regulation third set.
Kelseyville hosts St. Helena on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

At St. Helena, the Middletown Mustangs picked up singles wins from sisters Sophie and Olivia Kucer but fell to the undefeated St. Helena Saints.
Sophie Kucer beat Will Garrett 6-4, 6-2 in No. 2 singles while Olivia Kucer beat Robert Przybylinski in three sets (scores not available) in No. 3 singles.
In other action, St. Helena’s Macie McPherson beat Paige Astley 7-5, 6-4 in a hard-fought No. 1 singles match, Max Brown and Will Pakter defeated Middletown’s John and Reynoso 6-2, 6-1 in No. 1 doubles, and St. Helena’s Audie Novak and Lauren Maher beat Reese Caldwell and Lara Patterson 6-2, 6-1 in No. 2 doubles.
Middletown was scheduled to host Cloverdale on Friday but the Eagles have forfeited that match.
