Five killed, four injured in road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi

Five persons were killed while four others suffered injuries after a car collided with two bikes in Jhansi district in the wee hours of Monday.

LUCKNOW: Five persons were killed while four others suffered injuries after a car collided with two bikes in Jhansi district in the wee hours of Monday.
The accident took place when the victims were heading to Raksa police station area.
"The accident occurred at Kotra road when a car collided with two bikes," said SHO, Erach.
He said that the two bikes had crushed and got stuck inside the car.

Police used gas-cutters to retrieve bodies from the mangled car.
The four injured were taken to Jhansi medical college.
The deceased were identified as Krishna (03), Ghanaram (60), Premchand (40), Dharmendra (29), and Shailendra (30).
Taking cognisance of the incident, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and also asked senior officials to provide best possible medical assistance to the injured.
