A 'large cannabis crop' was found during a raid at a disused pub in Tamworth.

Police carried out the drugs bust at a former boozer in Lichfield Street on Tuesday, May 18.

Four men are currently being interviewed by cops following the discovery of the illicit plants.

Electricity has been isolated due to safety concerns and officer are currently consulting with the brewery.

Pictures from the scene - which can be viewed above - were tweeted by West Midlands Police's Birmingham Organised Crime & Gangs Teams.

An accompanying post said: "@Gangs_WMP have this morning worked collaboratively with @TamworthPolice to execute a drugs warrant at a disused pub in Lichfield Street, Tamworth, and recovered a large cannabis crop."

The spokesman continued: "Four males currently being interviewed.

"Electricity isolated due to safety concerns and consulting the brewery.

"Policing boarders do not stop at county lines."
