Pinning ceremonies were held last week to honor 19 students who have completed the nursing program at Brewton’s campus of Coastal Alabama Community College.

During the ceremony, Dylan Patterson was honor as valedictorian for the class with Katrina Jones honor as salutatorian for the graduating class.

Also honored during the ceremony was Shauna White for being awarded the coveted Spirit of Nursing award.

Graduating students included Bamah Coleman, Kendra Diamond, Georgia Duff, Cayla Gohagan, Tyler Haswell, Talia Jackson, Tamerick Jenkins, Natalie Joiner, Katrina Jones, Bryce Miller, Leslie Morris, Susan Morrow, Laura Owen, Dylan Patterson, Chasity Smith, Shauna White, Emily Whittle, Austin Williams and Christina Witherington.

Faculty and staff for the nursing department for CACC are Dr. Jean Graham, dean of Nursing and Allied Health; Dr. Tiffany Scarborough, departmental director of Nursing and Allied Health; Lynette Ruckman, director of nursing; Julia Babb, faculty; Anita Boutwell, faculty; Gretchen Dempsey, faculty; Susan Mack, faculty; Nancy Matthews, faculty; and Brenda Calhoun, administrative assistant.
