The Escambia County Healthcare Authority has released information confirm two new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the county.

In the report released on Tuesday, a pair of cases were confirmed from test results at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton since the previous report on May 14. No new cases were reported from testing at Atmore Community Hospital.

Current numbers show that 971 cases have been confirmed through tests at Atmore Community Hospital while 646 confirmed cases have resulted from tests at D.W. McMillan Hospital
