5 arrested for killing farmer

Hyderabad: Valigonda police arrested five persons in the case relating to the murder of a 40-year-old farmer on the evening of May 17.
The victim, Elimineti Venkat Reddy, a farmer from Chittiponibavi village in Valigonda mandal of Yadadri Bhivanagiri district, was hacked to death by EV Reddy (50), E Jalandhar Reddy (26), E Niranjan Reddy (25), E Uday Kiran Reddy (21), and J Damodar Reddy (29), from Valigonda and Atmakur mandals, at Chittaponibavi village.
According to the police, in 2020 Venkat Reddy had hacked one E Sanjeeva Reddy to death over land dispiutes in the village.
Police seized the murder weapon, a bike, and five cellphones from the accused. tnn
