228 new Covid-19 cases in Ghaziabad, Noida records 150

Ghaziabad recorded 228 new Covid cases and three deaths on Wednesday. The death toll in the district now stands at 424 and so far, 54,583 Covid cases have been recorded.

NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: Ghaziabad recorded 228 new Covid cases and three deaths on Wednesday. The death toll in the district now stands at 424 and so far, 54,583 Covid cases have been recorded.
As many as 211 people have been discharged from various hospitals and released from home isolation in the past 24 hours. The total number of recoveries stands at 52,116. There are 2,043 active cases and the recovery rate is 95.5%.
The case fatality rate is 0.8%.
Noida recorded 150 new cases and five deaths on Wednesday. As per official data, 708 people have recovered in the past 24 hours. The case tally is 62,001 and 59,175 people have been discharged. The death toll is at 428 and the number of active cases is 2,398.
Gautam Budh Nagar inoculated 10,263 people on Wednesday. While 462 were senior citizens, 1,387 were above 45 years. The maximum number of shots were administered in the 18-44 age group (8,409). In Ghaziabad, 12,021 people were vaccinated. While 9,832 were in the 18-44 group, 1,578 were above 45 years and 451 were above 60 years.
Children’s hospital
A 60-bed paediatric hospital will be ready in Ghaziabad in the third week of June. The facility will be at Ram Saran Garg Indo-German Hospital, Dasna. On Wednesday, the district magistrate formed a seven-member panel to monitor the project.
