Liverpool’s season is done and dusted, and now attention will be switching to what transfer activity the club will partake in this summer.

A whole host of players have already been tipped to join Anfield in the coming months, and they show no sign of stopping ahead of what is expected to be a busy window for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp will be keen to add to his squad and challenge for the Premier League title next term, but what players will they actually sign?

Here, we take a lookout some of the latest rumours doing the rounds and how likely they are to happen.

Who?

Jadon Sancho, Borussia Dortmund forward.

Where?

According to The Athletic , the Reds are not interested in bringing Sancho to Anfield this summer, contrary to various reports from elsewhere.

It has also been claimed that Liverpool will need to sell more of their fringe players before they can bring any new faces to the club, with the exception of Ibrahima Konate who looks increasingly likely to move to Merseyside.

Liverpool, along with Manchester United and Chelsea, have been persistently linked with Sancho, but the report also claims the Reds are not likely to splash the cash on a new forward.

What?

Sancho is likely to cost at least £80m this summer, which is unlikely that Liverpool will have that kind of money in their kitty.

The only way they would is if they sold a key star, which is not likely to happen unless a ridiculously high offer comes in, which is also unlikely in these financially uncertain times.

While Liverpool may be admirers of Sancho, it does not mean it’s enough for them to fork out the funds to sign him.

Who?

Hakan Calhanoglu, AC Milan midfielder.

Where?

According to CalcioMercato , the Reds are in talks with the agent of the Turkey international, whose contract expires at the end of next month.

Calhanoglu’s deal with Milan expires this summer and looks set to leave as a free agent, and the report states Liverpool are showing an interest.

What?

This is an interesting rumour and one that would arguably be a good deal on the face of things.

Liverpool’s financial situation is not publicly known, of course, but any way FSG can try and save some money in deals they will try to make it happen.

Calhanoglu is a good player, versatile and can play in either midfield or on the wing, so suits Klopp’s vision of signing players who can perform in a number of different roles.

Whether the interest in the player is genuine we’ll have to wait and see, but given Liverpool’s last free transfer was James Milner the club have a good track record of getting them right.

Who?

Jonathan Ikone, Lille forward.

Where?

According to journalist

, the Reds are showing an interest in Ikone this summer.

He goes on to say that Liverpool have opened negotiations and have made a part exchange offer to the newly crowned Ligue 1 champions.

It has been claimed that Liverpool have offered £21.5m plus Xherdan Shaqiri in an attempt to sign Ikone.

What?

A new name from a Liverpool perspective, but it is thought that Almeida is reliable when it comes to deals involving French clubs.

In terms of Ikone, he is a regular starter for Lille but only managed four goals on the right wing so his end product may need to be worked on.

Despite this, he is highly rated in Lille and is likely to require a sizable fee if Liverpool really are interested in the 23-year-old.

As for Shaqiri, he may well be a player that is surplus to requirements at Anfield next season so wouldn’t be a surprise if the club tried to move him on.
