Birders flock to the little known Dhanauri wetlands, home to over 6,000 birds belonging to 59 species, including Sarus cranes. In a census concluded by the forest department in September 2020, it was revealed that the wetland had 84 Sarus cranes, including 16 chicks. Falling under Greater Noida’s Gautam Budh Nagar, the wetland is looking to get the coveted Ramsar tag this World Environment Day.
