Three Tripura youths held for raping minor

AGARTALA: Three youths of Panisagar in North Tripura have been arrested for allegedly raping a 14-yr-old girl in a nearby jungle last week.
The three have been identified as Sanjoy Nath (25), Shubhrajit Sen (27) and Rajesh Rudrapal (27).
According to reports, the accused persons and the rape survivor were known to each other. Rajesh and Shubhrajit had forcefully picked up the victim in a car on her way back home.They took her to a jungle and allegedly raped her for a couple of hours. The third accused, Sanjoy, didn’t do anything and was standing outside the jungle to secure their safe passage, police stated.
The girl returned exhausted after three hours, triggering suspicion. The next day, she fell ill and narrated the incident to the parents. The family lodged a complaint against the three accused and shifted her to hospital.
