Thane: One held for attacking man with iron rod

THANE: The Vartak Nagar police arrested a man on the alleged charges of attempt to murder his neighbour over a petty reason.
The accused, Raghu @ Raghuvir Vikramsingh Chawda, 27 has been arrested and an offence under section 307 and 506(2) of the IPC has been registered against him.
The police said that it was on Monday when the victim, Naresh Panchal, 27, a Pizza delivery boy had gone to the public toilet, the accused broke open the toilet door and warned him of playing songs loudly on his player.He also attacked the victim with an iron rod on his head and injured him, the police said.
When the victim ran for his life the accused chased him and caught him near the rickshaw stand and again hit him on his head with the iron rod and injured him severely, the police said. The victim suffered severe head injuries due to the attack and recuperating in the hospital.
The local police are probing into the crime further.
