A live 12-hour fundraiser kicks off today that aims to provide aid to those affected by the pandemic. Called Live for Karnataka, the event begins at 12 noon on June 5 and goes on till midnight, featuring a plethora of Kannada celebrities from different fields.
The lineup is quite impressive, featuring names like Ananya Bhat, Aravind KP, Aryann Santhosh, Adhvithi and Ashvithi Shetty, Divya Uruduga, Bhuvann Ponnanna, Kavya Shetty, KM Chaitanya, Aiyyo Shraddha, Aditya Parashar, Manju Pavagada, Nidhi Subbaiah, MG Srinivas, MC Bijju, Raghu Dixit, Raghu Vinestore, Rajeev Hannu, Rahul Dit-o, Vijay Raghavendra, among many others.

To be streamed live on a Youtube channel, the event will be accessible later too for audiences for whom the time is not suitable. But why a 12-hour single event? "We have about 60 stars in the lineup. We understand that people will not tune in for the entirety of the 12 hours and will log in only for their favourite stars. We are focusing on getting the fan base of these stars to tune in in big numbers . The interactive sessions are all live and will allow fans to speak to their facourite stars. The proceeds will go towards helping those afflicted by COVID either directly or indirectly," says one of the event coordinators, Ganesh Papanna.
