    Andhra Pradesh government extends curfew till June 20 to contain Covid spread

    Andhra Pradesh has reported a decline in cases as the daily positivity rate has fallen from 25% to 10% within two weeks. Oxygen demand has also fallen 400 tonnes a day from the 700 tones-a-day high.

    The Andhra Pradesh administration has extended the curfew imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic till June 20. The curfew was first imposed on May 5 but has been extended after Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attended a high-level review meeting on Monday.

    The curfew has been reduced by two hours and will be in force from 2pm to 6am from June 10. Government offices in the state will be functional from 8am to 2pm.
