LUCKNOW: The
number of active Covid-19 cases dropped below 600 after a gap of 80 days on Monday. Against 50 new infections reported in 24 hours, as many as 244
patients recovered from the disease. As a result, the patients with active infection status dropped to 592.
However, three patients could not survive. Also, the number of new cases are still highest in Lucknow in comparison to other districts.
With this, the caseload of the second wave that started on March 15 reached over 1,55 lakh.
Of these, more than 1.54 lakh recovered, while 1,357 died. Overall, during the 15 months of the pandemic so far, nearly 2.38 lakh cases were recorded, of which over 2.34 lakh recovered and 2,503 lost to
Covid.
