Coimbatore, Madurai and three other corporations get new commissioners; Chennai gets three new deputy commissioners

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday posted new commissioners in five corporations.
Greater Chennai Corporation would get new deputy commissioners in place of Alby John Varghese, J Meghanatha Reddy and Shankar Lal Kumavat. The new deputy commissioners are M S Prasanth (works), Dr Narnaware Manish Shankarrao (health) and D Sneha (education).
Raja Gopal Sunkara would replace Kumaravel Pandian as the Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation.
Dr K P Karthikeyan will be the new commissioner of Madurai Corporation. Kranti Kumar Pati will be the commissioner for Tirupur Corporation.
B Vishnu Chandran would replace G Kannan as the commissioner of Tirunelveli Corporation.
T Christuraj would be the new commissioner of Salem Corporation.
Another reshuffle
In yet another reshuffle of IAS officers, the Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday transferred a total of 13 IAS officers.
Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar has been posted as project director of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) in Cuddalore district.
Ranjeet Singh has been posted as the additional collector (revenue) of Cuddalore, S Saravanan has been posted as additional director of director of rural development and panchayat raj, H S Srikanth would be the new project officer (PO) of DRDA in Thanjavur and R Vaithinathan would be the new the PO of DRDA of Dharmapuri.
