Haryana reports 528 new Covid-19 cases, 40 deaths

CHANDIGARH: With six districts reporting 10 or lesser cases, including zero fresh case from Nuh, Haryana on Wednesday reported 528 new cases, 940 recoveries and 40 deaths during the day.
As many as 85,508 persons were vaccinated during the day.
With this the state’s overall tally has gone to 76,40,94 cases, 74,81,86 recoveries, 8,829 deaths and 7,079 active cases.
Of the total active cases , 4,993 are under home isolation while rest are on oxygen support and ventilator support across the state.
Notably, more recoveries have pushed the recovery rate to 97.92% and lesser positive cases have resulted into decline in positivity rate of the day to 1.57% and cumulative positivity rate of second wave to 13.31%. While fatalities continue to be a worry as fatality rate of the day was recorded at 7.5% and cumulative fatality rate was recorded at 1.16%.
Maximum five deaths were reported from Hisar district followed by four deaths from Panipat, three deaths each from Sirsa, Bhiwani, Jhajjar, Kaithal and Jind districts. Two deaths each wre reported from Gurugram, Ambala, Rewari, Kurukshetra and Yamunanangar district.
While one death each was reported from Sonipat, Rohtak, Panchkula, Mahendergarh, Palwal and Fatehabad districts. Four districts namely, Faridabad, Karnal, Nuh and Charkhi Dadri did not report any death during the day. .

Sirsa reported 69 cases, highest for the day while Yamunanagar reported 58 cases. 28816 cases with 393 deaths and active cases while Yamunanagar has 24194 cases with 367 deaths and 365 active cases. Hisar and Palwal 37, Kurukshetra 31, Karnal 30, Fatehabad 29, Ambala 28, Gurugram and Faridabad 27, Panchkula 26, Jhajjar, Kaithal and Jind 23, Rewari 14, Panipat 11, Sonepat 10, Rohtak, Mahendergarh and Bhiwani 8, Charkhi Dadri 1 and Nuh 0.
On vaccination front, 79,707 were given the first dose while 5801 were given the second dose. With this the cumulative figure has gone to 61,93,365.
