Female family members of drug addicts to be trained

LAHORE:Women Development Task Force Punjab Chairperson Ms Tanzeela Imran Khan visited Drug Advisory Training Hub (DATH) regarding women skill development programme for drug addicts’ female family members.

According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, Consultant Anti Drugs/Narcotics Campaign Syed Zulfiqar Hussain gave a briefing about the women skill development programme and latest situation on the use of drugs in Lahore. Coordinator Syed Mohsin, Senior Registrar Dr Shoaib, Vice-Chairman Adeel Rashid, Mehak Tariq and others participated in the briefing. Ms Tanzeela said the head of the educational institution in which a student is addicted will be fined. Syed Zulfiqar Hussain said that women addicts need to be trained and made to stand on their own feet. In the first phase, 50 women of addicted families will be trained through vocational programmes.
