Virus kills two more in Lucknow, but cases down to 34

LUCKNOW: Covid-19 claimed two more lives in the city and 34 more people were diagnosed with the disease on Wednesday.
At least 89 patients also recovered, bringing the number of active cases down to 533. On the other hand, 16,611 people, including 7,088 women, took their first or second dose of Covid-19 vaccine in 147 sites in the city.
While 15,336 people were vaccinated at 141 government sites and 1,275 in seven private hospitals.Among them, the highest 10,965 were in the 18-44 age group followed by 4,095 in 45-59 age group and 1,339 elderly. About 124 frontline workers and 88 healthcare workers also took shots.
