CHENNAI: Burglars broke open a Tasmac shop at Nolambur near Chennai on Wednesday and decamped with liquor worth Rs 5 lakh.
As the lock remained undisturbed, investigation officers suspect the hand of an insider who used the key to unlock and steal liquor. CCTV footage showed some people, including an AIADMK man who was running a bar attached to Tasmac shop, walking out of the Tasmac shop on Wednesday afternoon.

Residents, who spotted some men taking away bundles of liquor bottles in vehicles, alerted police and Tasmac officials. The Nolambur police and Tasmac regional manager Sumathi and her subordinates visited the shop.
