HYDERABAD: A Hyderabad-based EdTech company, Practically, tied up with the Telangana Recognized School Managements Association (TRSMA) on Thursday to provide a ‘Free eLearning program’ for students and teachers of Telangana to tackle the disruption in education due to Covid-19.
Apart from providing free access to all TRSMA member schools, including access to the platform for all video and experiential content, test-prep, and other teaching modules, Practically has also contributed Rs 5 lakh to the TRSMA Covid Relief Fund, which will be utilised to assist families of TRSMA staff members who lost their lives due to Covid-19 recently.

“In the current Covid-19 situation, schools need all the help to continue teaching more effectively and bring the much-needed engagement to virtual teaching and learning experience,” said Charu Noheria, co-founder and COO, Practically.
Speaking about the association, Yadagiri Shekar Rao, president, TRSMA, said that this tie-up comes at a time when the pandemic has disrupted the delivery of traditional education. “At least 10 lakh students had no access to online classes during the last academic year. This year, we want to ensure that all students in the state get access to virtual classrooms,” said Rao. He said that a peer-to-peer lending firm — Rang De, identified 500 budget schools and agreed to provide interest-free loans to buy mobile phones and school fees to students from these schools.
