Stolen car recovered

LAHORE:Motorway Police M-3 has recovered a stolen vehicle from the Motorway near Darkhana Toll Plaza.

According to details, while patrolling near Motorway M-3, near Darkhana, Motorway police officers of beat 16 namely SPO M Akram, PO Ali Raza and PO Faisal Shehzad found a white colour vehicle number ADQ-917 parked near toll plaza Darkhana with no one near. After waiting for some time when nobody came to claim, the officers started searching the car in the presence of toll plaza staff. During the search, they found some cards and contact numbers from the said car. When contacted, it was revealed that the vehicle was stolen from Jaranwala last night and an FIR # 597/21 under section 381A PPC has been registered at PS City Jaranwala. The Motorway police seized the vehicle and informed the owner of the vehicle Naseeb Ullah who came along with the police of the concerned police station and received the vehicle.

The Sector Commander SSP Syed Hashmat Kamal appreciated the performance of patrolling officers and announced a commendation certificate and cash reward for the said officers.

Four arrested for threatening polio workers: Police on Thursday arrested four people for misbehaving and hurling threats to polio workers in two incidents.

In Ghaziabad area, accused Muhammad Ali misbehaved with polio workers. Police arrested him after registering a case. In Iqbal Town, three people misbehaved with polio workers and hurled life threats to them. Police arrested them after registering a case. A spokesperson of Lahore police said police have deputed 496 motorcycle policemen and 83 mobile patrolling units for the security of 6,327 polio teams in 169 Union Councils of the City.
