OPSC Odisha Recruitment 2021: Apply online for 351 Veterinary Assistant Surgeon posts

NEW DELHI: Odisha Public Service Commission has issued a notification for the recruitment to the posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Class - II (Group - B) of Odisha Veterinary Service under Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the proforma application available on the official website - http://www.opsc.gov.in.Candidates can apply from June 18, 2021 to July 16, 2021 for 351 posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon posts. Selected candidates will be appointed in the Scale of Pay of Rs 44,900/- in Level-10, Cell - I of the pay matrix.

Out of the total 351 number of vacancies mentioned above, 14 (05-w) vacancies are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (whose permanent disability is 40% and more), 11 vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen and 04 (01-w) vacancies are reserved for Sports persons.
OPSC Recruitment 2021: Age Limit (as on January 1, 2021)
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 32 years. The candidate must have been born not earlier than January 2, 1989 and not later than January 1, 2000.
The upper age limit prescribed above shall be relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to the categories of Socially & Economically Backward Classes (SEBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Women, Ex-Servicemen and by 10 years for persons with disabilities whose permanent disability is forty percent and more.
Persons with disabilities belonging to SEBC/SC/ST categories are eligible for age relaxation benefit of 15 years.
OPSC Recruitment 2021: Educational Qualification
A candidate must posses a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science or its equivalent from any recognized University in India or abroad and have registered himself/herself under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970.
OPSC Recruitment 2021: Examination Fees
A candidates is required to apply a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs 500/-. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disability are exempted from payment of this fee.
OPSC Recruitment 2021: Method of selection
The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon will be made on the basis of Written Examination and Viva Voce Test.

The written examination will be held at Cuttack/Bhubaneswar.

Candidates must apply online through the concerned website of the OPSC http://opsc.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
Candidates should keep at least two copies of latest passport size photograph which is uploaded to the online application form for future use.
On successful submission of the online registration, a unique "Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN)" will be assigned to the applicant.
The candidates are advised to submit the online application form well in advance wihtout waiting for the closing date to avoid last hour rush.
