Telangana advocate general meets Chief Justice of India at Raj Bhavan

HYDERABAD: Scores of legal professionals from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh met Chief Justice of India NV Ramana at Raj Bhavan on Monday.
Telangana Advocate General BS Prasad, additional advocate general J Ramachandra Rao, assistant solicitor general Namavarapu Rajeswara Rao and others met the CJI. AG Prasad profusely thanked the CJI for the huge gift he gave to the Telangana high court in the form of enhancing the sanctioned strength of the HC judges.

The sanctioned strength was raised from 24 to 42 which is 75 percent raise. This will pave the way for making our high court the first high court in the country to achieve zero pendency soon, the AG said. The current high court building is the place Justice Ramana started his journey as a judge and we are happy that he rose to the highest post in the judiciary from here, Prasad said. We will felicitate him soon in a befitting manner, the AG said.
Several advocates from Vijayawada too came and felicitated the CJI at Hyderabad Raj Bhavan. Justice Ramana is scheduled to visit the prestigious Yadadri temple along with his family on Tuesday.
