Rs58,299m earmarked for roads in upper Punjab

LAHORE:For the fiscal year 2021-22, funds amounting Rs 58,299 million have been allocated for the roads in upper Punjab while Rs 22520.247 million will be spent on roads in South Punjab.

At least Rs 20,464.944 million will be spent on 592 ongoing schemes while Rs 37,834.056 million will be spent on 1177 new schemes. At least Rs12.938 for widening/improvement of road from Kotli Sattian milad Chowk to Bhan, L=8.43km Tehsil Kotli Sattian will be spent. Rs9.97 million will be spent on widening/improvement/construction of Road 36/SB Pull to Riazabad Adda Chak Jaoodh Link Borali. Rs100 million will be spent 1 on widening, improvement and construction of road from Piplan to Kallur Kot Road, Tehsil Piplan including Southern Bypass, District Mianwali.

Rs120 million will be spent on rehabilitation and improvement of road Bhakkar Bypass to Notak Bypass via Ratta, Mullanwali. Rs30 million will be spent on completion of city roads of Gujrat. Rs21.501 million has been allocated for the rehabilitation of 16 km road from Shakargarh to Chak Amro, Narowal. Rs25.670 will be spent on construction of RCC Road from GT Road to Morr Eminabad upto disposal station length. Rs 20 million will spent on rehabilitation of carpet road in UC-226, NA Lahore.
