UP: Police forms 7-member SIT to probe murder of journalist Sulabh Shrivastav
Renuka Srivastava, wife of the slain journalist Sulabh Srivastava demanded a high-level probe into the incident on Tuesday.
PRAYAGRAJ: After registering an FIR under Sections 302 and 506 of IPC against unknown persons in connection with the mysterious death of a Pratapargh-based journalist Sulabh Srivastava, an eight-member team of Pratapgarh police on Tuesday started investigation in the case.

A senior cop associated with the probe told TOI that the police have been compiling all the records, including forensic evidence, regarding the incident.
He added that apart from scanning call details of the deceased journalist, the police also recorded the statements of people who rushed to the spot, took him to the side of the road soon after the incident, and called an ambulance.
The police have also been taking help of CCTV footage to collect evidence related to the incident.
The Pratapgarh-based journalist, who worked in a news channel, was found critically wounded near a roadside corner under mysterious circumstances late on Sunday night. He later succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. The incident took place a day after the victim had shared warnings of being attacked by the liquor mafia.
Wife of the journalist, Renuka Srivastava, demanded a high-level probe into the incident on Tuesday.
A delegation of Congress leaders met the relatives of the deceased at their residence.
Journalists of Prayagraj and Pratapgarh have also demanded a thorough investigation into the incident.
