The much-awaited BTS Meal will be officially launched in the country on June 18 and McDonald’s Philippines has prepared a “purple takeover” in stores and other surprises.

BTS Meal in the Philippines will be served in purple packaging and will consist of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium World Famous Fries, medium Coca-Cola, and Sweet Chili and Cajun sauces inspired by popular recipes from McDonald’s South Korea.

Oliver Rabatan, McDonald’s Philippines assistant vice president for marketing and channels, told the media during “The BTS Meal Lunch Party” on June 17 that for the “purple takeover,” customers will be greeted with purple-themed stores and interactive props.

And at front counters of McDonald’s stores, there will be “bias lanes” where “fans can probably show off their bias.”

For customers ordering via drive-thru, there will be drive-thru picture frames so customers can “experience the BTS fever and take home great memories,” said Rabatan.

He added that starting June 21, there will be purple photo booths in McDonald’s branches where customers can take their photos.

There will also be exciting deals and discounts when customers use the McDonald’s app in ordering the BTS Meal.

“For Lucky Ride, bring your bias when you order via drive-thru from June 21 to 27 and get a free upgrade from medium to large fries and coke with your BTS Meal,” said Rabatan.

Customers who order the BTS Meal via McDelivery from June 25 to 27 can enjoy a delivery fee of only P7.

Rabatan said in anticipation of the high demand for BTS Meal, McDonald’s Philippines will be implementing health and safety protocols amid the pandemic.

These include wearing of face masks and face shields, social distancing, frequent sanitation of high-touch customer areas, practice of contactless drive-thru and delivery and availability of cashless payment options to ensure “employees and customers are safe when ordering the BTS Meal,” he added.

BTS Meal can be ordered via McDelivery, in store, drive-thru, Grab Food, Food Panda and Pick-a-Roo.

A behind-the-scenes video of BTS filming the BTS Meal commercial will be released on June 19.

The BTS Meal will be served in 49 countries and regions and became available starting last May 26 in the US.
