Nearly 400 submissions came in from 43 different countries for the first-ever Fort Smith International Film Festival, according to executive director Brandon Chase Goldsmith.Tickets go on sale Friday for the festival that's scheduled for Aug. 13-14.Screenings will be held at locations throughout downtown Fort Smith."We have gotten 396 submissions from 43 different countries, so we are bringing the world to Fort Smith. You can see movies from all over the world, but most importantly, we're showcasing Fort Smith and our talented people to the entire world," Goldsmith said.

Tickets go on sale Friday for the festival that's scheduled for Aug. 13-14.
