It's the oldest rivalry in International football, and tonight England will compete against Scotland in an eagerly-anticipated group D match of the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament.

The last time the two nations met in the finals of a major tournament was in the group stages of Euro '96, when Paul Gascoigne scored a memorable goal in England's 2-0 victory.

Scotland, playing in their first major tournament since the World Cup in France in 1998, will be hoping for a strong performance tonight to erase those memories.

And, just like in 1996, the two teams will meet at Wembley Stadium in London.

Wembley is hosting Euro 2020 games

The football match will kick off at Wembley on Friday night at 8pm.

But all the coverage and build up to the match will be aired on ITV and STV in a special programme from 7pm.

Steve Clarke's Scotland will go head-to-head with Gareth Southgate's England in the game, with both needing to do well to keep hopes alive of progressing to the next stages of the Euro 2020 tournament - which has been delayed a year by the coronavirus pandemic.

England head into the game fresh from their 1-0 victory over Croatia on Sunday, while Scotland will be in need of points from the match after their 0-2 defeat at the hands of the Czech Republic on Monday.

Viewers can watch the match live on ITV and STV, or via the ITV and STV hub online for free.
