UP: Cops use plastic chair as riot gear in Unnao

A viral video showed cops using plastic stools and cane baskets as riot gear in UP’s Unnao. The DGP has now sought an explanation from Unnao police on the clash. It was triggered by demands of compensation after 2 people died in a road accident. Unnao police had accused Bhim Army of instigating the violence. The state police chief sought an explanation on why the force was ill-equipped to handle the mob.
