Coronavirus infection rates have gone up in seven areas of Surrey and fallen in four areas.

Surrey Heath has the highest coronavirus infection rate in Surrey, according to the latest data from Public Health England.

There were 69 confirmed cases in Surrey Heath in the week ending June 15, which is equivalent to an infection rate of 77.3 cases per 100,000 people.

The lowest infection rate in the county is in Tandridge where the latest rate is 34.0 cases per 100,000 population and is down by 32 per cent compared to the previous week.

The coronavirus infection rate is lower than the national average in all eleven local authority areas in Surrey. The infection rate for the whole county of Surrey is now 59.9 cases per 100,000 people.

There were a total of 716 positive tests across Surrey in the week ending June 15, which is 39 more cases than the previous week. The number of cases has risen in the county by 6 per cent.

There were 76 positive tests over the last week in Woking, which is 4 fewer than in the previous week. The week-on-week trend in Woking is down by 5 per cent and the latest infection rate is 75.4 cases per 100,000 people.

In Runnymede, the latest infection rate is 74.9 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases has gone up by 158 per cent. A total of 67 people tested positive for Covid in Runnymede over the seven days ending on June 15, which is 41 more than the week before.

Epsom and Ewell recorded 56 coronavirus cases, which is 2 more than in the previous seven days. The latest infection rate in Epsom and Ewell is 69.5 cases per 100,000 people and that is up by 4 per cent week-on-week.

The trend is up in Elmbridge, where there were 89 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 15, which is 1 more than the previous 7 days. That is up by 1 per cent compared to the previous week.

Reigate and Banstead saw a total of 91 cases in the week ending June 15, which is 56 fewer than the previous week. That is a fall of 38 per cent.

There was a rise of 69 per cent in cases in Guildford over the week ending June 15. Guildford recorded 88 positive Covid-19 tests, and that is 36 more than the previous week.

In Mole Valley, the number of cases was up 43 per cent. There were 50 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 15, which is 15 more than the previous 7 days.

There were 56 cases recorded in Waverley, which is 39 more than the previous week - a rise of 229 per cent.

Spelthorne recorded 44 cases in the week ending June 15, which is 34 fewer than the previous week, and equivalent to a fall of 44 per cent.

Tandridge, which has the lowest infection rate in the region, recorded 30 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 15, which is 14 fewer than the previous 7 days. The rate in Tandridge, is down by 32 per cent.
