Liverpool transfers - Patson Daka and Youri Tielemans latest

The group stages of the Euros are now reaching a crescendo and with the 2021/22 Premier League fixtures having been announced last week, thoughts are starting to turn to next season and Liverpool’s transfer dealings ahead of the new campaign.

Patson Daka, the prolific 22-year-old striker who has taken on the scoring mantle at Red Bull Salzburg following Erling Haaland’s departure.

The Zambian international smashed in 34 goals in all competitions last term after netting 27 the previous season.

Reports claim Liverpool held talks with the forward this summer but he opted to join Brendan Rodgers at Leicester instead.

Florian Neuhaus and Youri Tielemans the Liverpool-linked midfield pair, both 24, who have been mooted as potential replacements for Gini Wijnaldum.

Gini Wijnaldum leaves Liverpool fans saying the same thing after Holland goals

Georginio Wijnaldum continues to rub salt in Liverpool fans wounds with another impeccable goal-scoring performance for Holland.

Representatives of the club and the player failed to agree an extension for the 30-year-old, each game he continues to show those in charge at the club what they will be missing next season as he tries his luck in Ligue 1.

Frank de Boer and Jurgen Klopp's philosophy both differ using Wijnaldum in different ways but it seems to be the Dutch manager who is getting the best out of his skipper.

He moves level with Cristiano Ronaldo and Patrik Schick as the tournament's top goal scorers, as the 30-year-old chipped in with a brace, Liverpool fans were left reeling over his eight-minute brace.
