1,500 IMFL bottles seized in Jamnagar, two held
Rajkot: Acting on a tip off, Jamnagar police seized 1,500 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from Gulabnagar area of Jamnagar on Sunday morning. Police arrested truck driver Dharmesh Gohel (31), a resident of Navagam (Ghed) and Imran Sheikh (35), a resident of Kisan Chowk in Jamnagar. “We confiscated IMFL worth Rs 7.5 lakh while we also seized a truck and plastic beans under which the bottles were hidden.
We arrested two people who confessed to have brought the contraband from the union territory of Daman and was going to unload it in JamKhambhalia in DevBhoomi Dwarka district. Five names have cropped up in this case and the arrests will be done soon,” police said.
