Greater Noida: Guard held for sexual assault of 5-yr-old

GREATER NOIDA: A security guard working in a residential society in Greater Noida (West) was arrested on Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl in Bisrakh late on Sunday.
The accused, 50-year-old Rahees, is from Jalaun and had been staying for the past few years in a jhuggi cluster.
The child, whose mother works as a domestic helper in the residential society, lives in another slum cluster nearby.Police said on Sunday afternoon, when the girl’s mother was at work, Rahees took the child to his own jhuggi.
“When the girl started crying and raised an alarm, the man fled. The neighbours soon reached the spot and informed her parents,” a police officer said, adding that the child escaped any major injuries.
Bisrakh SHO Anita Chauhan said on the basis of a complaint by the girl’s family, an FIR has been lodged under IPC sections 376 AB (punishment for rape on a woman under 12 years of age) and Section 3/4 of Pocso Act.
