Maharashtra news: State reports 9,195 Covid-19 cases, 252 deaths

The Maharashtra government on Wednesday issued an official notification merging 23 villages around the city with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), making it the largest civic body in the state. The state will start trials for vaccinating the bedbound at home in Pune district soon, the advocate general (AG) told the Bombay high court on Wednesday. After touching record numbers in June, the immunisation drive has slowed down in Maharashtra since the past two days after supplies dried up.
